My story goes back a few months back. I had an uncle pass away from colon cancer. The very night he died I dreamt every one in the family had been called to some lawyers office for the reading of the will. I didn't want to go since me and him were not on the best of terms when he passed. But with the urging of my mom and others in my family I went, not expecting to get anything anyway. When it came time for them to read my name.....and this part Ill never forget for the rest of my life........the lawyer read "and to my niece April since she always had to have the last word on everything I leave my 2 cents and that is MY last say" I woke up from this dream kind of weirded out because after all he had just died the day before but just kind of blew it off. Until later on the next day I had went out to eat and when the bill came the change on it came to exactly 2 cents. Still not paying any attention to this I went up to the register to pay and they had one of them take a penny leave a penny things w exactly 2 cents. By this point I was starting to get a little freaked out. Had my uncle came to me in that dream to give me a message??? The rest of that day I kept running into 2 cents everywhere, when I got gas I'd accidentally pump 2 cents over, everything I bought the change came to 2 cents. When I got home that day there was change lying on the coffee table but on the end table across the room was exactly 2 pennies! I haven't run into 2 cents as much as I did that day but since then whenever I come across 1 penny another is very soon to follow.
Wow April! Thanks for your Story! Now that is an impressive way to have the last word!

I always somewhat believed in ghosts but after this night, I
believe 100% that they do exist.
I was living at home and my dad had
passed away 8 months previous. One night, mom and I want to bed around
11:30 or 12:00. About 5 minutes after, I heard someone walking down the
hall towards my room and my mom's room. When the footsteps reached our
doors, I could hear them turn round and start to head back. I heard the
basement door shut. Well, naturally I thought it was my mom so I went to sleep.
The next morning my mom asked what I was doing up. I told her that I
thought it was her. The next obvious person was my older sister Cheryl.
When my mom asked her what time she got home, her answer startled
us....4:00 am was her answer. My mom and I looked at each other then mom
started with any kind of logical excuse. I didn't buy any then and I
certainly don't buy it now.
Two weeks later, the handsaw in my dad's workshop was off the wall (he
hung everything up) and leaning up against a chair about 5 feet away.
One week later, my sister saw a shadow beside the pool table then ran
upstairs to tell us. More excuses from my mom and of course, I didn't
believe any excuses. I knew something was there.
Next night, (this is where it gets creepy), my sister's cat woke up from
a dead (ooops sorry, no pun intended) sleep and ran over to the
basement stairs and hissed and growled with all her hair standing on end
then slowly turned to the stairs leading up to the bedrooms, hissed and
growled with her hair standing on end. That very same night my mom had a
dream where my dad came to visit her. She told me that it seemed so real,
he was even sitting on the edge of her bed that was once theirs.
Sounds like your dad was trying his best to let you know he is still alive on the other side!

Let's Go to Church....

A couple of friends and I were in Ft Payne Alabama and went into this very small one room church. While under construction the preacher had died and "kid you not" was buried in the church. There is a brick or stone column at the front of the church that goes all the way to the ceiling with an inscription on it with the preachers name, date of birth and date of death. Being the music lover I am I went to the piano and started to play. My two friends were standing at the brick column which was directly behind the piano by the back door. I was startled when my friends ran by me and continued to run out the front door. Needless to say I did not question what was going on I ran with them. After we got into the car and while leaving the church they told me what had happened. They had heard what sounded like scratching coming from the column they had been looking at. I looked back at the church from the back seat of the car and the back door was standing open. I know that the door was shut when we went out the front I was sitting right in front of it, but there it was standing wide open. Maybe the preacher didn't like us being there. I've always though it was odd to bury someone "in" a church.
Do you remember the name of the church by any chance? We would love to research it more!

Calm Down Baby....

I returned home from work one night, and it was around 12: 30 am. After 10 hour working on a freezing cold dock I was tired, and I wanted something to eat and go to bed. When I turned the key to my front door I had one thing on my mind, and that was to eat something before bed. As I walked in my kitchen opened up the fridge and took out yesterdays leftovers and placed it on the stove. Then picked up my bag and headed to the bedroom. I walked in and, took about three steps before I was stopped in my tracks, by strange chill that went through my body like a cold wind. Oh! For a second I had to wonder if I was in the right house. Everything about my room was vague, dark; maybe the way to describe that moment is misplaced. So I stood there and, scanned the room for signs of something missing or moved, everything seemed normal, so I then placed my bag down, then headed to the bathroom and walked into another cold spot.
This time I knew something was wrong, turning toward my bed for the phone to call my Mother but it was too late, in fact it was too late to call anyone, in my family, so I just sat there on the bed for a few minute to think. Wait a minute; I heard a woman’s voice from behind me, I looked back and there was no one there, but I can still hear her saying” CALM DOWN BABY, BABY CALM DOWN.” I stood up and looked around the room and the first thoughts went through my mind was to run out the house. But where will I go? Who would believe me, if I told them that a ghost ran me out of my own house at 12:40 in the morning?
Man! I’m in trouble now; I must be losing my mind. Then I decided that this female ghost wasn’t going to run me out of my own house. So I built up enough courage to stand there and confront her, I was ready for her. But only to be confronted by yet another ghost, a baby that was ramping, and screaming at the top of his lungs.
That’s it, it was to stay or leave. I’m a stubborn man when it comes to leaving my house this way, so I stayed. Now 30 minutes passed and the ghosts were still there, and I haven’t eaten. Then there were calm in the room, so I started for the shower, returning only to find that they were still there. MAN! So I tried my best to ignore that baby ghost and go on with my nightly routines but, with a twist that night, I had to go to my liquor cabinet for a drink, to build up more courage only to find after two drinks I was more scared then before.
As I eased to the bed then slowly, pulling the cover around my neck, facing the light from my bathroom, to get a clear view of what I can’t see. Right over my head I heard the soft voice” you want to go to the zoo?” “How about fishing you love fishing?” I woke up that morning and couldn’t believe what happened. To this day: I never said a word to my family about that night I was over taken in my home, by a host of ghosts.
It could have been a haunted, or maybe a strange overlap of time, perhaps you heard a "recording" of the previous family who lived in your house? great story!

Grandma's Watching....

I was 14, walking down a street with blustery
snow, it was
hitting my face, as you know snow does comes down sideways, snow sometimes
does that when the wind blows. I was walking to the pharmacy to get my
mom's prescription, and I heard this voice call out my name, I looked
back. I finally got to the pharmacy, got her prescription, than walked
back home.
I heard the voice again call out my name, and I
finally knew
that voice. It was my grandmother, who had passed away when I was 6. I
slipped on the ice, and fell down on my back. Boy my grandma must of
really been mad. I had just learned that I was pregnant. I think she was
warning me not to trust the father of the baby I was carrying.
You see he was 15, and when he found out that I
was pregnant, he left me, he told
his parents that the child wasn't his. Years down the road, when he
turned 32, a blood test was done, he was the father. Then he wanted to be
involved in our child's life. My child did not want any contact with her
father. That father died a horrible disease needing a liver transplant.
This person never drank alcohol, so we do not know why his liver failed.
But he died a horrible death.
I believe that my grandmother tried to warn
me. And she is still around me, wherever I am, if I smell roses, I know
she is around. And my grandfather is also around, he has a witch hazel
smell. So I know they are always there to protect.
Thank you for your interesting encounter! I'm hoping that your daughter and her father made their peace prior to his passing. Has he ever stopped by from beyond the veil?
