Something Wicked...

It was a very hot afternoon, I did my household chores early
that day, So I decided to take a nap before preparing dinner that night. I
guess it was about four thirty or so. For some odd reason I opened my eyes
and sat up quickly, I thought that I heard something or someone my kids
were not due to come until later that evening.

I got up and was about to enter into my kitchen, and I heard the most godforsaken scream and growl! Iran back into the living room, petrified. I listened and heard it no more.

I went into the kitchen and it was completely empty ~ no one was there. Still
shaking I gave it another look around.
There was a terrible smell I could
only describe as rotting meat or something dead
. I felt so sick from the
smell I had to run outside, so I went next door to a friend of mine.

She told me that it sounded like I had some kind of haunting at my
apartment. She is into Wicca, a witchcraft based religion. She said that she
had a Ouija board, and maybe if we played it and asked who was there and
if there was some way we could help them find peace it would explain things .

Later we tried on the Ouija board, but nothing was happening so we asked for a sign if there was a spirit near wanting to talk to us, all of a sudden the door in the kitchen came flying open, We both jumped up and ran the hell out of there.

Needless to say I never consulted the Ouija again. Nothing has happened since then.

The whole rotting meat thing would have sent me packing right then and there!  I for one do not advise the use of the OUIJA board under any circumstances!  Lucky you didn't end up with an even worse situation on your hands!  Let us know if it comes back!

Strange things have happened in my home since I could remember.
The town I live in was once nothing but farmland. My father was the
original owner of our house so we knew the history of the house...or so we
thought. The earliest I can remember was in 1985. Nothing major just
strange unexplained things.

The most spooky things started to happen in 1993, after my father passed
away. The first thing was only a day or so after he died. I have sliding
mirror closet doors in my bedroom, and was awakened in the early morning
hours. I looked into the mirror to see a glow of some sort in the mirror.
I looked behind me and saw nothing, when I turned to face the mirror
again,
the image waved and then disappeared. After that, personal items of
his were always being relocated. Things were disappearing only to reappear
in another room. The only things that this happened to were his.

In late 1995, I got my driver's license. I had a car of my own and whenever it was
raining I could never find my car keys. My mom and I always joked that it
was his way of keeping me safe. One day in 1999, I had an appointment I
couldn't miss, it was raining, and I couldn't find my car keys, I kept a
spare in the car and luckily the doors were unlocked. I used the spare key
in the car and left. Not a mile from my house I was in a bad accident.
Surprisingly, no serious injuries. Needless to say when it's raining badly
and I can't find my keys, I don't go out.

I never really believed in ghosts or guardian angels, but in the last 10
years I have come to believe in angels. I think that my father is always
looking out for me. I think everyone has at least one guardian angel.

Thanks Megan!  Sounds like your dad takes looking out for you seriously!  How awesome to feel that love from your dad to this day!  I would definitely take the hint in the future to avoid driving when you can't find those keys!  Now  if only those on the other side could influence the car insurance rates!

We often form strong bonds of love with our pets.  Do you ever wonder if they come back to visit us?  Following is a wonderful story of devotion beyond the grave...

My encounter happened in 1998 and my mother and I never told anyone about what happened.  In 1986, we got a beautiful white poodle named Frosty. This dog adored me and my mother, he liked my 2 brothers and father but his favorites were me and my mom.

At the time, I was living with my parents in Glen Rock, New Jersey and their house had carpet throughout the house except for the dining room where there was hard wood floors. So, whenever Frosty's nails were getting too long and he walked into the dining room we heard his feet tap all the way.

Well, after a wonderful 12 years with Frosty, he got sick and had to be put down
the Friday after thanksgiving. My mother and I were devastated, we loved
him so much. On Saturday, my mom and I were home alone in the afternoon and we were in the living room crying and talking about the dog, when at the same moment
we both heard his footsteps like he was walking across the dining room floor, we heard the tapping of his toenails when they got too long.

We both stared at each other and could not believe what we just heard. Actually, the experience eased our pain a little since we felt he was still with us.

loved it!  My mother had a similar experience with a cat once.  When alive this cat used to run down the hall and jump on the bed.  After the cat passed away, one night my mother heard him run down the hall and felt him jump on the bed just like when he was alive!  I am convinced the animals we love and nurture live on in the after-life...

Have you ever told a friend something along these lines.... "If I die first, I'll try and come back and give you a sign.... If you go first, you try and give me a sign"...

Well.... Sometimes it does work out that way....

Touch Lights...

It all started when my grandmother got cancer. She was living in
the hospital, growing weaker every day. My grandfather stayed with her all
day, every day. And every night as he went to turn out the lights, my grandmother would object, and say she didn't want to die in the dark. So
she always kept the lights on when she slept.

One night, we went up stairs to bed. About an hour later, my father woke up to the whining of my dog. So he went downstairs, thinking the dog had to be taken for a walk because he had to go to the bathroom. When he got downstairs, all the touch lights were on. So he walked the dog, and turned the lights off and went to bed.

A few hours later, my mother woke to her bathroom light shining in her face. She knew she turned them off, so she got up, turned the lights off, and woke her husband, telling him not to leave the light on. He said he didn't, and told her the lights were on downstairs too. But they thought nothing of it, and went to sleep.

A few hours later, I woke up to my touch lamp on beside my bed. I turned it off and went to sleep. The next morning, we got the call that grandmother had died the night before. This scared my parents, so I asked them why it scared them.

They told me the lights were coming on all night, and it reminded them of how my grandmother always kept the lights on. I told them my light went on too, and that convinced them that my grandmother's spirit came to our house to say good-bye.

But they asked our neighbors if the electricity kept the lights turning on last
night. The neighbors said no, and the occurrence never happened again. Just
that one night.
The night she died.

Great story Emily!  This type of encounter with the newly crossed-over is quite common.  Since we are all made up of energy and energy can never be extinguished, it merely changes forms, it is reasonable to assume it was your grandmother.  What a touching way for your grandmother to say goodbye...

This story actually took place a few years back, but it is interesting nonetheless.  My mother (and I by default)  had a friend who was quite active in the psychic community.  She was an author (if I find her books are still in print I will add a link)  who specialized in past-life regressions.

She was diagnosed with terminal cancer at a relatively young age in the prime of her life and career.  In keeping with her experiences, beliefs, and personality she opted for homeopathic care and chose to die with dignity at home.

Prior to her death she told one of her children that if there was any way possible for her to communicate her survival beyond the veil she would do so.

She passed peacefully and afterwards her family member related this tale... Her daughter, let's call her "Sarah"  was standing in the kitchen, thinking upon the recent sad events and like anyone would, wondered if one survives the transition.

Sarah turned from the window, which overlooked a pool, and was momentarily engaged in another task.  Sarah states it was "less than a minute" that she was turned facing away from the window.

When Sarah turned back around she saw that the kitchen blinds were somehow all tangled together.  They weren't that way just a minute before and she had heard no sounds of the blinds being tangled up.

Sarah stepped to the blinds to fix them and when she did, she gazed out upon the pool in the backyard.  There floating upon the water were a group of leaves....floating in the shape of a heart...

Well... There you have it.. I know that experience brought great comfort to all involved.  Can you imagine if you had the chance for one last communication?  What would you try and communicate from the other side?
